In this article, we look solely at what Nugenix can do for you, however, if you want more information, we suggest that you look at our Nugenix Total T review.
Nugenix contains Vitamin B6, Vitamin B12, Zinc, L-Citrulline Malate, Fenugreek and Tribulus. We’ll be doing a breakdown of how this affects your testosterone muscle mass and libido.
What does Nugenix do for you: Testosterone?
There’s one ingredient in Nugenix in particular which can help improve testosterone; Zinc. Zinc is a mineral which has links to raising testosterone levels.
The Zinc in Nugenix is a mineral that can after being absorbed by your body can help increase your brain’s levels of Luteinizing Hormone (LH). LH is a hormone in your brain which can work as a precursor to both growth hormone and testosterone.
By helping to increase your body’s levels of LH, you can help promote your overall levels of testosterone.
What does Nugenix do for you: Muscle Mass?
The main ingredient in Nugenix which may temporarily help muscle mass is the L-Citrulline. Citrulline is an amino acid which is typically found in fruits like watermelon.
So, how can Citrulline can help muscle mass by helping to promote your body’s levels of nitric oxide. By promoting your levels of nitric oxide can help great improve your muscle pump and endurance for your training.
L-Citrulline is good for giving you that muscle pump which is linked to stronger lifts, and longer more enjoyable sessions. However, for the best results you typically need between 6000 – 8000 mg per serving. There is nowhere near that amount in Nugenix.
What does Nugenix do for you: Libido?
Nugenix contains Fenugreek, which has been linked to improving libido in some cases. In some cases, research has found that Fenugreek may be able to boost sex drive by up to 25%.
However, what needs constant attention is the overall dosage. As a lot of the the ingredients in Nugenix are part of a proprietary blend, you don’t know how much of each ingredient you’re getting or how effective it may be overall.
The issue with this, is although Fenugreek does have some research that shows it to help libido – there dosage in Nugenix, may not be enough to actually deliver on this claim.
How well does Nugenix do all this for you?
Not that particularly well. The ingredients in Nugenix could be significantly improved. The main problem is that the majority of the ingredients are inside a proprietary blend.
A proprietary blend is when a supplement manufacturer chooses to hide the individual dosages of the ingredients under one larger main value. Although manufacturers claim that this helps protect their ‘secret formula’ it’s massively misleading to the consumer.
You don’t know how much of each ingredient you’re getting – so how can you know how effective it will really be overall? You can’t.
Not to mention, that it’s clear that the Citrulline in this supplement is under-dosed, and numerous other well researched testosterone boosters are missing in this product.
For example, there is no boron, magnesium, Ashwagandha, D-Aspartic Acid, or even aromatase inhibitors like luteolin. There is a lot left to be desired when it comes to what does Nugenix do for you.
